When we separate from the Armed Forces, or our law enforcement organizations, or even just when we have to uproot our lives and move to a new area of the country and leave our old life behind, we are bombarded by intrusive thoughts. It's always difficult to make new friends, especially civilian friends who may mean well but do NOT think like we do or speak the same language. Our sense of humor can often be misunderstood, further alienating us from society. That adrenaline rush we thrived on during our careers is suddenly gone, replaced by what sometimes feels like a slow, insipid, ridiculously pointless life. As that happens, we become discouraged and begin to withdraw. Feelings of loneliness, depression, and even anger can begin to control us.

It doesn't have to be that way.

Our Left & Right is here for you. You may not feel it, but you still have comrades, brothers-in-arms, and friends. We all have those demons too. But...we have learned how to fight them with each other. We have found our way and now stand shoulder-to-shoulder with each other, braced against the storm that threatens to swallow us. We may slip, we may stagger, we may even fall from time-to-time, but we always pick each other back up and carry on.

There is no need for you to sit in your own miserable foxhole. We want you to join us. Come stand in the shield wall and be one of the warriors to Our Left & Right.

TESTIMONIALS

Being on a team and working together to accomplish strategic goals and tactical objectives is crucial for my positive mindset. I didn’t really realize how much I needed to be back in an environment like this.

As a former member of various paintball teams, this group offers a role unique to any field in the US. Operating as a unified intelligence and comms team has been the deciding x-Factor for many a scenario general from my personal experience.

Joining Full Moon Freqs through OLAR has been a game-changer for me. Not only have I honed my skills and had countless thrilling experiences on the field, but I’ve also gained a family of lifelong friends. The camaraderie and support within the team have had a profound positive impact on my life.

“FMF/OLAR gave me an opportunity for connection between me & my son when it was desperately needed. And as a by-product, I’ve gained great friendships I didn’t even know I wanted.”

After losing my 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter to a rare, terminal condition in 2022, I was withdrawn. I didn’t want to do anything I used to enjoy. I sat at home, with no one but my wife and oldest daughter to talk to. Haggis talked me into joining FMF and my wife agreed it might be helpful for me. I’m not being dramatic when I say that it changed my life. Fellowship with other veterans and being surrounded by my brothers has given me comfort and a peace that I cannot express. Having such a wonderful group of friends to lean on, to draw me out of my shell and to include me in mil sims has given me a purpose. I have something to look forward to. I have brothers again. And there aren’t enough words to express how grateful I am for that.
